In terms of current legislation, you will need to pass the RPL Level 4 (Recognition of Prior Learning) course and the PDE (Professional Designation Exam) in order to secure a Fidelity Fund Certificate. This certificate then entitles you to receive estate agents commission. However, should we appoint you as a Real Estate agent, we will give you all the training and experience you will need to achieve these compulsory qualifications.
Those interested in becoming an estate agent need to initially register with the EAAB (Estate Agency Affairs Board) as an Intern Agent. You will be assigned a mentor who will oversee your training and practical progressfor a period of one year, before you can become a candidate agent. You need to enrol with the FETC in Real Estate, attend classes and gain practical experience where after you may submit assignments until you have gained the required 152 creditsfor the RPL level 4. These credits and practical experience and allow you to qualify for the NQF Level 4 Real estate Certificate.
