The Academy was born from a shared vision between Mike Greeff and his late long-term friend and tennis companion, Clive Beck. Inspired by their mutual love for the game and a desire to uplift the next generation, the initiative reflects a commitment to creating opportunities that extend well beyond the tennis court.In partnership with Dean Botha Tennis School and Claremont Tennis Club, the Academy combines professional coaching expertise with structured mentorship and personal development programmes aimed at scholars between the ages of 10 and 18.“At its core, this Academy is about opportunity,” says Mike Greeff. “Tennis is the vehicle, but the real objective is to build character, discipline, confidence, and resilience. These are qualities that shape successful futures, in sport, in business, and in life.”

While tennis serves as the foundation of the Academy, the programme has been intentionally designed with a broader purpose in mind. The Greeff Tennis Academy aims to support the holistic development of young scholars through:

Mike Greeff will serve as Founder, Executive Chairman, and Lifetime Patron of the initiative.Built on values such as sportsmanship, leadership, perseverance, and community contribution, the Academy seeks to inspire young scholars to reach their full potential while remaining grounded in purpose and integrity.
